Our Credentials

Learn why we have the right expertise and experience to be your trusted firm.

Our advisors have gone through some of the most rigorous and demanding processes to advance our services to best serve our clients. We have worked diligently on earning our credentials to bring experience, knowledge, and a competitive advantage. Here are the credentials we’re most proud of so you can gain a better understanding:

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™

A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional™, or CFP®, is a financial professional who assists clients in making financial decisions and creating plans to achieve their goals.  CFP professionals have completed a comprehensive course of study at a college or university offering a financial planning curriculum approved by the CFP Board.

CFPs are credentialed professionals who have met strict education, experience, and ethical requirements.

CERTIFIED PLAN FIDUCIARY ADVISOR®

A CPFA stands for "Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor," which is a professional designation for a financial advisor who has specialized expertise in working with retirement plans (like 401(k)s) and demonstrates a high level of knowledge regarding fiduciary responsibilities related to managing these plans.  CPFA's help individuals and plan sponsors navigate investment options and fiduciary duties within those plans.

To achieve a CPFA certification, candidates must pass the NAPA CPFA examination.

ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY®

The Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) Designation is a professional certification that demonstrates an advisor serving as an investment fiduciary has met certain requirements to earn and maintain the credential.  The purpose of the AIF® Designation is to assure that those responsible for managing or advising on investor assets have a fundamental understanding of the principles of fiduciary duty, the standards of conduct for acting as a fiduciary, and a process for carrying out fiduciary responsibility.

Besides studying financial planning, the training for this certification focuses on knowing and complying with all legal and regulatory mandates concerning an advisor’s fiduciary responsibilities.  AIFs prioritize their clients’ financial interests above their own.

WEALTH MANAGEMENT CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL®

A Wealth Management Certified Professional® (WMCP®) is a financial advisor who has completed a certification program from the American College of Financial Services (ACFS). The WMCP designation demonstrates that the advisor has the skills to manage money and provide sound financial advice.

WMCP's provide financial advice to assist clients in identifying goals and managing risk.  They create diversified, tax-efficient portfolios in an effort to build wealth and manage money.

CERTIFIED PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR®

A "CPWA" stands for "Certified Private Wealth Advisor," which is a professional designation for wealth managers who have specialized training and expertise in working with high-net-worth clients, focusing on the full life cycle of wealth including accumulation, preservation, and distribution.  CPWAs are specifically trained to handle complex financial needs of individuals with significant wealth.

This certification is administered by the Investments & Wealth Institute.
